Amir Tavakoli is an Iranian writer and director. He holds a bachelors degree in sociology from the University of Tehran. He started his professional career working as an assistant director for movies and TV-series. He has made his cinematic debut "Another Self" in 2020 which takes a far-fetched look at the life and sufferings of transgender society.
ANOTHERSELF is an Iranian movie directed by Amir Tavakoli. The movie is one of the first Iranian movies which has received official VISA for screening in france. The movie has been awarded in international festivals and will be screened in cinema Elysée in Chantilly, France. The premier night would be performed on 29 July 2023 and the film would be rescheduled in September.
